Activities for All

With family, friends or colleagues, the Castle of Hélécine promises you some enjoyable times in Walloon Brabant. If you’re looking for deer, swans, geese, peacocks and goats, take a walk around the ponds and the 28-hectare park. There are two large, free playgrounds and a magnificent 19-hole landscaped miniature golf course. The superb terrace of the Pop-Up bar facing the ponds will allow you to eat and taste products ”made in Bw’, as well as a wide choice of Belgian beers.

The Neoclassical Castle

Formerly, the castle was an abbey founded by the Premonstratensian order (12th century). The Castle of Hélécine is available for corporate events, team buildings, seminars, weddings and private parties, etc. Its 300m² dome culminating at 27 m, the 500m² orangery which can accommodate a 600-seat arena, 500 people for a seated dinner and 1,000 people for a cocktail party, the 12 rooms of the Castle and outbuildings for subgroups, equipped with giant screens, sound and lighting, the caterer Château H and the park for your outdoor activities will ensure a successful event meeting your expectations.

The Castle Park

The 28-hectare park for strolling includes a nature reserve, two playgrounds, a giant sundial, a 19th-century ice house, an educational pond and three fishing ponds. Come and play landscaped mini-golf and pétanque. The estate is ideal for families, school groups and those who like to relax in the countryside. Discover its stories, hiding places and particularities through the tourist trail, which lasts about 1 hour.

Did you know?

The ice from the ponds was sawn away and filled the ice-house attached to the barn. At that time, the castle’s inhabitants used blocks of ice every day to preserve their food.

A stone’s throw from the playgrounds, the Pop-Up Bar allows you to quench your thirst in complete peace of mind. The terrace is open on sunny days.

Two ponds are open for trout and carp fishing from the second Sunday of March to mid-November. Information and reservations

Children will have the opportunity to discover the daily life of prehistoric man at the Walloon Brabant Museum of Archaeological Interpretation (MIA BW).

This summer, take a seat on one of the terraces scattered throughout the park, with different atmospheres and moods: playgrounds, children’s entertainment, puppet shows, bouncy castles, a lounge area, table tennis, musical area, open stage, mini golf, photo exhibition about archaeological professions by the MIABW, and even a carousel and duck fishing.
Everything is organised to allow you to stroll, be entertained and eat, while respecting health measures and social distancing.
