The Maison Demaret now sells over twenty different types of bread,
Viennese pastries, patisserie, sweet and savoury tarts, pralines and ice
creams. Over the past ten years, the firm has also built up a solid
reputation for its wedding cakes. These products are made by teams of
pastrycooks and bakers who bring all their traditional skills to bear.
The people of Rixensart and the surrounding area have now been served by
three generations of the family. From originally being a family concern,
the Maison Demaret really took off in the early 2000s, increasing the
number of sales points to five, well distributed across Walloon Brabant
(Rixensart, Ottignies, Court-St-Etienne, Genappe and Wavre).
