The Folon Foundation, located just a few minutes from Brussels, was
imagined and created by the Belgian artist Jean-Michel Folon who
presents some 40 years of his creativity. More than 500 of his works
are on display in 15 rooms dedicated to the museum in the La
Hulpe Castle farm on the grounds of the gorgeous Solvay Regional Domain.
exhibit shows multiple facets of Jean-Michel Folon's art:
watercolours, silk screens, etchings, posters, re-interpreted objects,
stained-glass, sculptures …
In a very original
presentation; the museum conducts a surprising tour as the artist opens
the book of his life… Walk into this huge book where mirrors are laid
out to reflect posters on posters to infinity, unravel the secrets of
the workshop and end the visit with "your head in the stars". Films,
sound and visual effects enliven the interactive display.

The Folon Foundation organizes
at least two temporary exhibits per year in the specially
outfitted halls or in the gardens of the Solvay Regional Domain. The
objective is to present the work of artists that Jean-Michel Folon is
particularly fond of, or with whom he worked or shares a "family of
To complete the discovery of the museum, the Folon
Foundation proposes a large range of educational activities.
Young people and groups can take part in inter-generational workshops,
family visits, premiere showings for children, and birthdays and other
festivities can be organized here.
The Foundation is recognized
as an association in the public interest, and it also has a
social objective. Profits are transferred to disabled persons. The
museum is accessible to persons with a disability and is free of charge
