The "Tarte al Djote", a speciality of Nivelles, offers a perfect blend
of various ingredients (cheese, chard, eggs, chopped parsley, baby green
onions and butter). Chard is an obligatory ingredient, while the cheese
used is "Bètchèye" (fermented cow's cheese. The tart is traditionally
sampled hot – spike it with your fork and add a dollop of salted butter
before you take a bite!
