This beautiful church overlooking the village of Tourinnes-la-Grosse is part of Walloon Brabant’s Roman heritage. Its large tower, still unfinished in the 13th century, was also used for sanctuary in the Middle Ages and the village’s name, Tourinnes-la-Grosse, derives from this.

Construction work on this farmhouse-castle began shortly after 1690 following a fire due to French troops ravaging our villages with a scorched earth policy.Its main characteristic is its square tower on three levels made from brick and white stone which gives it its name.
