A Whole Territory to Cover!

A Land of History

At the top of the Butte, like the keeper of History, the lion watches over the plain of Waterloo. The Waterloo 1815 Memorial, Napoleon’s Last HQ and the Wellington Museum will give you a multi-sensory experience which is unique in Europe. We also commemorate the two great wars that marked the 20th century with more intimate museums, such as the First Wing or the Museum of Remembrance 40–45.

Secrets of the Stones

When stones tell a story, it is our heritage that lives again! The magical Abbey of Villers-la-Ville has been listed as an exceptional heritage site in Wallonia since 1992. It is one of the largest archaeological sites in Belgium. Like Victor Hugo, you will fall under the spell of the majestic old lady and throughout this unique tour, you will discover its history, its gardens, and can visit its microbrewery and vineyard.

A Fun Destination

Wavre is home to the famous Walibi amusement park and for a treetop adventure course and for explosive jumps, visit the Adventure Park in Wavre. You’ll touch the clouds and shiver with pleasure. The area is full of fun ideas for overcoming your fears or simply for a good dose of fun with family or friends!

The Sweet Life

Does ‘slow tourism’ mean anything to you? It’s forgetting about the frantic pace of our lives and taking your time, settling down and doing nothing or going out to meet local people. Enjoy the benefits of nature and take a breath of fresh air while moving around in a gentle way.

Enjoy miles of invigorating excursions on foot or by bike along the country lanes and the network of ‘focal points’ so present in Walloon Brabant. Try some tasty local products too.
