Harras baudemont ittre-22

Description

The Baudémont stud farm is among the oldest in Belgium. Founded in 1890, racing horses were bred there.

Nestled in the heart of lush greenery, the Château de Baudémont dating from 1615, rebuilt in 1885, has a very beautiful facade arranged in a horseshoe shape, largely covered with ivy.

In 1955, the old chapel located on the facade having become too cramped and the owners not wishing to modify its harmony, it was decided to convert the orangery into a new religious building. A commemorative plaque is placed there in memory of the father and two older brothers of Count Lichtervelde, who died in captivity during the Second World War.
