Description
Situated in Rebecq, the Moulin d’Hou is a former watermill whose origins date back to the late 18th century.
Expanded in the early 19th century, it underwent several alterations to adapt its spaces to the needs of milling operations.
Remarkably, the cessation of its operations in the 1960s has allowed a large part of its original mechanisms and tools to be preserved, offering a rare insight into the traditional workings of a mill.
Today, this industrial heritage site is of major historical and technical interest, and is the subject of discussions regarding its preservation, enhancement and possible repurposing.
