For its 320th anniversary in 2026, the Commemoration of the Battle of Ramillies 1706 is reinventing itself and offering a full and festive weekend program!

Program of festivities:

Friday, May 22, 2026, starting at 8:00 p.m.

  • Lecture presented by Clément Oury, PhD from the University of Paris-Sorbonne.
  • “The Battle of Ramillies: The Facts and the Facts”
  • Second Conference: “The Life of Belgians at the Time of the Battle”

Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 10:00 AM

  • Official Ceremony
  • Opening
  • Encampment with numerous actors living as they did at the time
  • Reenactment of military actions involving infantry and cavalry (firing, maneuvers, combat, etc.)
  • Guided tour of the battlefield by miniature train
  • Entertainment (bagpipes, dances, etc.)
  • Inflatable castle for children
  • Numerous artisans (featuring extinct trades and local crafts)
  • Food trucks and bars
  • Exhibition
  • Saturday evening from 8:00 PM: Folk evening with live music by 3…4

Sunday, May 24, 2026
