Description
Celebrate Saint George’s Day in Grez-Doiceau with a procession and cavalcade on the first Sunday after 23 April. On the Saturday, there are sports activities and fun for the public (cuistax racing, nature walks, etc.). Medieval entertainment (encampment and show) will take place around the church. The Sunday will start with a second-hand sale, from 7am. Throughout the day, the whole village centre will be buzzing with a gourmet market, street performances, medieval entertainment, a parade of giants with a brass band, vintage tractors, a funfair, exhibitions, a book fair, etc. The day will finish at around 4.30pm with a horseback combat show: Saint George versus the dragon.

- 18h: The “Annual Mass of the Guild” at the church Saint-Georges
- 20h: musical quiz at the Saint-Joseph aux Champs school
Sunday, April 27:
- 7am to 6pm: Brocante
- 9.30 am: Walk Marche’en Grez (10km)
- 11h: Religious and historical procession followed by the medieval procession and the blessing of the horses.
- From 12h: Medieval space and pig at the spit in the school yard
- 12h to 15h30: Old tractors
- 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.: Street Artists Walk – Music, Medieval Dancers, Juggling and Bagpipes
- 15h: The Giants and the Néthen-Wez band
- 10h-16h: Exhibition “Our streets, animated or sleepy” and presentation of the competition prizes
- 16h30: Costumed procession accompanied by all the artists and the Combat of Saint Georges against the Dragon
- From 10am to 6pm: Permanent animations: local flavors and artisans market, gastronomic brotherhoods, children’s space grimage and creative workshops, crossbowmen demonstration and initiation to shooting, photo expo, bubble bar and the carnival all weekend until Tuesday!
