Program:
Saturday, March 21, 2026:
- 3:00 PM: Medieval Square: refreshments and dancing
- 4:00 PM: Play “History of Our Church” (Directed by Luc Aerens)
- 8:00 PM: Presentation and pre-sale of the 800th anniversary book “The Secrets of Saint Nicholas Church” by the President of the Historical Society, Jacques Stasser, who will give a lecture in the church on the stained-glass windows of the choir. Presentation of the mock-up of the 800th anniversary postage stamp.
Sunday, March 22, 2026:
- 9:45 AM: Solemn Mass presided over by Archbishop Luc Terlinden, Primate of Belgium. The ceremony will begin with the blessing and inauguration of the 800th anniversary artwork.
- 11:30 a.m.: Parish procession and village parade
- From 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Medieval entertainment with the troupes “Les Troubadours d’Aliénor” and “La Compagnie de l’Épée Soleil”:
- Special appearance by Josephine the Dragon,
- Traditional blacksmith demonstration,
- 15th-century surgery and medicine demonstration,
- Wooden spoon-making workshop,
- Ironwork demonstration,
- Armored combat demonstration (foot combat tournament),
- Weapon demonstration,
- Archery,
- Storyteller (medieval style),
- Fire-eater,
- Medieval brass band,
- Snacks and refreshments around the church, and much more…
