Description
This event aims to spotlight the 40-45 Remembrance Museum and involves the reconstruction of an allied military camp in the second world war, in which the public can get an educational and vivid introduction to the uniforms, equipment and vehicles used in this period, in combination with the museum’s static exhibition.
Snacks are available on site, as well as a military fair. The museum will also be open.

Friday, July 18: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM: Camp open to the public (free admission)
Saturday, July 19:
- 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM: Camp open to the public (free admission)
- 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Convoy of military vehicles in the region
- 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Opening of the 1940-45 Memorial Museum
- 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Activities in the camp and competition for the most beautiful diorama
Sunday, July 20:
- 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Camp open to the public (free admission)
- 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Convoy of military vehicles in the region
- 11:00 AM: Commemoration at the Lancaster Monument in Perwez. (At the foot of the wind turbines at the end of Rue du Mont)
- 1:30 p.m.: Lecture “The Entry of the Americans into Belgium in September 1944” by Daniel Ruelens (author of books and articles on the Second World War)
- 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.: Opening of the 1940-45 Memorial Museum
