Description
On 15 and 16 August 2026, the Waterloo Battlefield Estate will be hosting a major festive weekend for the whole family at the foot of the Butte du Lion.
To mark the occasion, a host of activities will be on offer for young and old alike in an exceptional historic setting, including a giant zip line installed for the first time from the summit of the Butte, offering spectacular views over the battlefield.
On the programme: family activities, games, a climbing wall, pony rides, historical re-enactments by re-enactors from 1815, and rifle and cannon firing demonstrations. All activities are included in the admission ticket and entry is free for children under 10.
The highlight of the weekend will take place on 15 August at 8.30 pm with a grand concert by Mister Cover. A staple of the Belgian music scene ! Against the unique backdrop of the illuminated Butte du Lion, this evening promises a festive, intergenerational and unifying atmosphere.
