Not yet visited the Armand Pellegrin Museum, the pedagogy museum? Enter into this former primary school and discover teaching practices of yesteryear… Immerse yourself in the school setting of the past, as well as the countless mementos of an incredibly exciting time in Hélécine.
The museum’s collections began with Armand Pellegrin, who taught boys at the Opheylissem school. He set up an educational corner in his classroom to show 100 years of Belgium’s existence. This exhibition was such a success that he decided to make it into a museum… Over the years the collections grew and grew. From the early days, Armand Pellegrin was helped by a young pupil, Maurice Dewolf, who is now curator of the museum.
The museum is located on the left hand side, 400 metres after the Castle of Hélécine.
